When interviewing accountants for a job in your company. You should always remember to focus on their actually real-world experiences as an accountant.

Some interviewers may be sidetracked and ask about the candidate’s academic performance or his experience as an employee in general. But a crucial part of the interview process are the questions that revolve solely on what they have done as an accountant. Always remember to ask these questions. Make them as specific as possible and try to ask questions that relate to situations you foresee your accountant to handle in your company. These are the actual questions that matter when interviewing accountant candidates.
